Jessica Mancari is a strategic and creative communication leader in Washington D.C. specializing in executive communication and speechwriting. She helps CEOs, government officials, and senior leaders shape their reputations and organizational goals through leadership initiatives, the evolving media landscape, and communication strategies.

She is currently Senior Vice President, Strategic Communication for the American Council of Life Insurers, the nation's leading trade association dedicated to providing products and services that contribute to Americans' financial and retirement security.  She oversees leadership and strategic communications, grassroots and advocacy, and serves as speechwriter to the President and CEO.

Since joining ACLI in 2017, Mancari has designed communications programs to advance the industry's mission of providing financial protection to all Americans, including Meeting the Moment, Paid Leave for All Takes All of Us, and most recently, SECURE for All, which contributed to significant retirement security legislation being signed into law in 2022. In 2020, Mancari helped launch the industry's first grassroots communication program, Protecting Every Future.

Jessica was previously a Communications Director for a U.S. Congressman where she combined coalition building and digital marketing for effective policy communication. Her work was recognized by the Congressional Management Foundation for top web communication.

Jessica also served as Director of Content Strategy at a Washington, D.C. public relations firm Adfero. She directed thought leadership and storytelling campaigns for companies like Philips, Microsoft, UnitedHealth Group and AT&T.  

Today, Jessica advises business leaders in leadership communication, speechwriting, and speech coaching. Her speechwriting was recognized with a 2020 Cicero Speechwriting Award.

A writer at heart, Jessica is a regular contributor for Bittersweet Monthly. Her work contributed to Bittersweet Monthly receiving a 2017 Webby award nomination, alongside The New Yorker, Vanity Fair, and Wired.

Jessica holds an M.A. in Communication from The Johns Hopkins University. Her honors thesis looked at gender and motherhood bias in national news opinion coverage of women CEOs. She presented her research at the 2015 National Communication Association national convention. She is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of Lee University, where she holds a B.A. in Communication.

Jessica lives with her husband and two children in Arlington, Virginia.
